This page is a draft and will be reviewed by a lawyer before launch.

This page explains what the MVP Ninja website stores in your browser and why. The short answer: very little, and nothing for advertising or tracking.

01The short version

  • Our website code sets no cookies.
  • We don't use cookies or similar technology for advertising, analytics or tracking you across sites.
  • The brief form saves your answers in your browser's session storage while you fill it in. They stay on your device until you press Send.
  • If we turn on analytics, we use Umami or Plausible, both of which work without cookies.
  • The page remembers, in memory only, where your visit started, so a brief or note you send can tell us how you found us. It isn't stored and is gone when you close or reload the tab.

Because of this, we don't show a cookie banner. The only storage we use is strictly necessary for a feature you choose to use.

02Cookies

Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to keep. The MVP Ninja website's own code doesn't set any.

Our hosting provider, Hostinger, may set strictly necessary technical cookies, for example to route traffic or block attacks. These are not used for advertising or to follow you across sites. [HOSTING COOKIES IF ANY]

03Session storage for the brief

The project brief uses your browser's session storage. It works like a cookie but stays on your device and is never sent to a server automatically.

  • Name: mvpninja:brief:v1
  • What it holds: your answers so far, which question you're on, and the time you started.
  • Why: so a page refresh or an accidental press of the back button doesn't lose your answers.
  • How long: until you close the browser tab, or until your brief is sent successfully, whichever comes first.
  • Who can read it: only this website, in that browser tab.

Nothing in session storage reaches us until you review your brief and press Send. Then your answers and the start time are sent so we receive the brief and can check it wasn't sent by a bot.

If your browser blocks storage, the form still works. Your answers just won't survive a refresh.

04Analytics

If we enable analytics, we use Umami or Plausible Analytics. Either one counts page views and where visitors come from without setting cookies.

Alongside page views, it counts a few actions so we can see where the site is unclear:

  • pressing the main buttons at the top of the homepage;
  • reaching the Labs projects or the pricing packages;
  • choosing a package, or starting a brief from a Labs project;
  • starting the brief, moving past each question, reaching the review, sending it, or leaving part way.

Each action carries only labels such as the package, the product type or which question it was. It never includes what you typed, your name, email or phone number.

We'll update this page before using any analytics tool that relies on cookies.

05Other websites and services

Our WhatsApp and LinkedIn links are plain links. We don't embed their content or load their scripts, so they can't set cookies through our pages. Once you open their websites or apps, their own cookie policies apply.

Fonts are served from our own domain, so loading a page doesn't contact a third-party font service.

06How to clear or block storage

  • Close the tab. Session storage for the brief is deleted automatically.
  • Send your brief. We clear the saved answers once it's received.
  • Use your browser settings to clear site data for this website, or to block cookies and site storage. Your browser's help pages explain how.

07Changes to this policy

If we add a cookie or another kind of browser storage, we'll update this page first and, where consent is required, ask for it before setting anything.
